Entry Into a World of Ideas and a story timeless
I have been reading and re-reading the Dune books since I was a teenager, learning more from them each time, as the person I became learned a bit more. This book is about revolution, mysticism, politics, war, religion... packed full of ideas I mostly missed as a teen because the story is so exciting, I read more for the plot and characters back then. I have just once more re-read all the original books, and was delighted to find Herbert had laid out two more books to end the sage, which ties up a lot of loose ends. The library here has all the books, thank God for them. If you have not read this book, or if it has been awhile, you will be stunned and amazed by the breadth of the vision. I cannot begin to do justice to this novel in a short review. Enjoy.
